While filming a Met Gala scene with co-star Stanley Tucci on Friday, August 1, Streep turned heads in an extravagant red ballgown with an off-the-shoulder neckline.

Fittingly strutting along a cerulean blue red carpet at the Museum of Natural History, the Only Murders in the Building actress bared her right shoulder and arm with the asymmetrical gown’s tilted 3D collar. Featuring one long sleeve on the left side, the scarlet taffeta dress cinched in Streep’s waist with a thin matching belt before flaring out into a voluminous full skirt that fanned out several feet behind her.

Posing with Tucci—who looked dapper in a black tux, a whimsical polka-dotted tie, and a black-and-white striped scarf—Streep reprised her Miranda Priestly glam with a side-parted silvery white-blonde bob, smoky eyeshadow, and a matte red lip. Ruby and diamond-encrusted statement earrings added some extra sparkle to her look.

Earlier on Friday, the award-winning actress was also spotted with Tucci checking out the Met Gala setting in a very different look. Before getting glam for the evening’s red carpet, Streep wore a black-and-white menswear-inspired checkered shirt paired with straight-legged black slacks, a midi-length camel trench coat, and red satin peep-toe platform heels. A pair of angled black sunglasses—a Miranda Priestly signature—finished off her daytime outfit.
